Vlast Pojman is a photographer who enjoys travel photography and all that it encompasses.
Born in Czechoslovakia in the seventies he got his first camera from his dad, an old Russian Smena 35 mm which he vaguely remembers, and started shooting. Just before the collapse of the iron curtain his family moved to West Germany and from there to Canada.
His passion for photography was reignited when he grabbed the family point and shoot and started taking more photos while hiking through Algonquin Provincial Park.
After 15 years of Canon EOS shooting 2013 was a year of changes, a first dabble into the micro four/thirds world with the Olympus OM-D-E-M5 turned into a wholesale for the Canon and the purchase of the E-M1. The size of the camera and lenses make it pure joy to go out on trips, hikes and around town to take some beautiful photographs.
Currently based in Ottawa, Ontario he uses his spare time to take pictures. Be it a short trip after working or a weekend get away to the closest National Park there is always something to photograph.
